Matteo El Khodr
Born in Beirut from Greek and Turkish origins, raised in Paris. Along with his opera studies at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, Matteo integrated l’Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Fine Arts studies.
His work evolves around his passion for his identities: the Orient and the Opera and theater stage. In the first quarter of 2023, Matteo worked in the art residency of Villa Empain, Fondation Boghossian in Brussels and produced several artworks under the “Beirut I Miss You” series.
Since then, Matteo has exhibited under the patronage of M. A. Osseiran Collection, did his first solo that was sold out at Kalim Bechara’s gallery, and created his own style by combining architectural perspectives and nostalgic colours to express his love for his country Lebanon.
