The Human Condition

Join us on Friday April 28, 2023 from 6 pm to 9 pm @rebirthbeirut for the opening of “The Human Condition”, a collective exhibition in collaboration with Arneli Art Gallery and curated by Manar Ali Hassan. The opening night will be enriched by various startling live performances.

“The Human Condition” encompasses the range of human emotions, experiences and struggles, including joy, love, pain, suffering, birth, death, and everything in between. 15 young and emerging artists have sought to understand and represent the human condition through more than 60 artworks varying between paintings, mixed media, works on paper, photography, sculptures, poetry and video art.

Participating artists: Aya Abu Hawash, Dzovig Arnelian, Elizabeth Hefty-Khoury, Joanna Raad, Krikor Avessian, Lodi Sabra, Mayssa Khoury, Mary Kaady, Maral Der Boghossian, Moushegh Karavartanian, Noura Bakkar, Sarkis Sislian, Tarek Saab, Toufic Melhem with a special focus on the work of the international artist Johnny Semaan.

Participating writers: Ziad Jreige, Rima Barakat and Rebecca Whiting.

The exhibition will remain until May 5, 2023 from 12pm to 7pm (except Sunday).

Part of the proceeds will go to support Rebirth Beirut’s initiatives.
