Artist Biography

Zeina Nader

Zeina Nader, an international award-winning artist, was born in Lebanon and graduated from Saint Joseph University in Beirut with a degree in Communication Arts. Initially poised for a career in theatre, cinema, and photography, she chose instead to pursue her first love: painting and writing. Zeina believes that all forms of art communicate, and this belief has driven her to explore the world through her art.

She has exhibited her work worldwide in cities such as New York, Tokyo, Paris, London, Madrid, Milan, Monaco, Copenhagen, and Bruges, among others. In 2022, she celebrated her hundredth exhibition in Barcelona.

An accomplished author, Zeina has published four books about her art and travels and serves as an art columnist for *Ici.Beyrouth* (in French) and *This is Beirut* (in English). Fluent in five languages, she teaches art to students of all ages.

Zeina’s large-scale paintings have been acquired by prestigious institutions, including the Peoria Riverfront Museum in the USA, the London School of Economics in the UK, and the Ritz-Carlton DIFC in Dubai, where her works are part of their permanent collections. Her art can also be found in Lebanese embassies and the Presidential Palace in Lebanon. To her, life itself is the greatest artwork ever created.

Artist Statement

In my exploration of abstract art, I’ve recently embraced minimalism. It’s my way of expressing life’s simplicity through spontaneous or intentional compositions that invite to reflection. Stripping art to its basics, I use minimal shapes, colors, and lines to evoke deep emotions. My aim is to invite the viewers into a personal and subjective connection with my abstractions. In this style, every stroke and absence of detail carry meaning, creating a special place for interpretation, imagination and even introspection.
