Artist Biography

Nazar Mouchilian

Born in Beirut in 1966, Nazar Mouchilian ventured into the world of art at an early age and is a self-taught artist. He was fascinated by the complexity of the human organism and inspired by its representations in different schools, especially in pointillism and fractal art. He experimented with repetition and pure forms in search for his own unique identity.

While the journey continues, Nazar is now translating his emotions and experiences into his own voice and very personal narrative. He has a fascination with the color blue.

Nazar held a solo exhibition at Mark Hachem Gallery, Beirut in 2016 and participated in numerous group exhibitions including with Mark Hachem Gallery in Paris and Galerie Janine Rubeiz, Galerie Tanit and Galerie Rochane in Beirut.
